Here is a collection of various illustrations Iv'e done for the student magazine Peikestokken. Some of them have also been in Volda University College magazine "Meir"

The above picture was for an article about how the Russian President Putin is playing a game of monopoly with the powers he have been given. There are Nukes in the back, as he threads forward giving orders, and a large statue being constructed inspired by Russian totalitarian architecture.
Silje Ekevall Sandbrekkene, made the digital caricature of Putin, while I did the backgrounds with watercolors.
Below for an article about the murder of Borits Nemtsov, the leader of the Russian political opposition.
The illustration depicts how the murder was carried out anonymously and hidden, and how the murder effectively damages the Russian culture, here the matroska dolls, where people are scared to practice their "freedom"
The illustration below, belongs to an article about Human made towers in the province of Catalonia in Spain. Hundreds gather to support the tower, where the strong ones are at the root, and young children climb to the top. This is a mix of watercolor and digital painting in Photoshop. There are iconic landmarks of Barcelona in the corners. And the human tower in the middle shadows a Christmas tree, because this article was published right before Christmas, and we wanted some holiday spirit throughout the magazine.
This illustration was for the international day of Wommen 8. March. It was the first illustration Iv'e ever done. For this I wanted Freya, a strong female godess from Norse mythology, to send out some girl power through a red negative wall that said NO, symbolizing the struggles women have to endure in our society. She thus breaks the barrier and reaches the other more positive side, with the Ying Yang symbol of equality.
These articles shared the same page, where the first one
was about Norwegian movies. Our hero is slowly couch locked by typical Norwegian forest flora, and there is even a mythological creature under his couch.
While this side was about how people are increasigly getting more addicted to social media. Our hero is kinda locked away from his surrounding with all the media shining lights on him. Creepy creatures are floating around his room, his inner demons? but he is too busy to take care of himself.
